Terms & Conditions of Business

These terms apply to all quotations, estimates and work undertaken by Raven Tiling.

1. Quotations

All quotations are provided free of charge and remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Quotations are based on the information available at the time of inspection and may be subject to revision if previously undisclosed issues are discovered.

2. Acceptance of Quotation

Acceptance of a quotation, either verbally, by email or in writing, constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

3. Deposits

Raven Tiling reserves the right to request a deposit before work commences, particularly where materials need to be purchased specifically for a project.

4. Materials

Where materials are supplied by Raven Tiling, ownership of those materials remains with Raven Tiling until full payment has been received.

Where customers supply their own materials, Raven Tiling cannot accept responsibility for delays, shortages, defects or incorrect quantities.

5. Access to Property

Customers must ensure reasonable access to the property and working area during agreed working hours.

Any delays caused by restricted access may result in additional charges.

6. Additional Work

Any work requested outside the original quotation will be treated as a variation and may incur additional costs.

Additional work will be discussed and agreed before being undertaken whenever possible.

7. Existing Surfaces

Raven Tiling cannot be held responsible for defects caused by existing structural movement, hidden defects, unstable substrates or unsuitable surfaces that become apparent during the course of the work.

8. Timescales

All completion dates are estimates only and may be affected by weather conditions, supplier delays, site conditions or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

9. Payments

Payment is due immediately upon completion unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

Commercial customers may be offered agreed payment terms.

Late payments may be subject to interest and recovery costs where permitted by law.

10. Customer Satisfaction

Customers should notify Raven Tiling of any concerns as soon as possible to allow the opportunity to inspect and resolve any issues.

11. Guarantees

Where guarantees are provided, they apply only to workmanship carried out by Raven Tiling and do not cover product failures, structural movement, misuse, accidental damage or work carried out by third parties.

12. Liability

Raven Tiling's liability shall be limited to the value of the work carried out under the relevant contract.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.

13. Photographs

Raven Tiling reserves the right to photograph completed work for quality records, portfolio purposes and marketing unless the customer specifically requests otherwise.

14. Privacy

Any personal information supplied by customers will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to fulfil contractual obligations.
